The role involves floating throughout the hospital to all relevant Med/Surg Tele areas. Experience in acute care hospital settings is required. Telemetry monitoring must include assessing intervals and interpreting tele strips every four hours. Experience with TR Band is necessary. Clinician to patient ratio is up to 5:1 during days/evenings and up to 6:1 at night. The patient population includes individuals in the emergency department and non-vented patients in the ICU. Specific rotation requirements involve rotating between day/evening shifts and nights. The electronic medical record (EMR) system used is EPIC.
