Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 36 or 48 hours per week, day shift; 1:5-6 patient ratio; 12-16 weekend shifts per contract period

Highlights:
  • Specialized neurology medical-surgical unit caring for patients with neurosurgical procedures and neurological diagnoses
  • 13-26 week contract lengths accepted with flexibility based on traveler preference
  • Epic charting system with Pyxis medication management and SBAR communication protocols
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
  • Two orientation shifts on unit following hospital-based orientation; manager-created schedules
  • Float requirement applies; blocked scheduling may be accommodated based on individual requests
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
  • Active North Carolina or Compact State RN license
  • BLS certification required; ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and CPI certifications preferred
  • Epic charting experience preferred; neurology experience strongly preferred
  • Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
  • Skills in telemetry, IV management, CVA care, isolation precautions, and non-invasive airway management
  • Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
  • Willingness to float within facility and participate in storm/hurricane emergency response teams as assigned
