Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Current state or compact license required prior to start Certifications: Required: BLS Preferred: ACLS, PALS Must-Have: Driver's license must be included with submission. Description: Registered Nurse Med-Surg position available for night shift. Experience in a medical surgical unit is required. First-timers may be considered based on experience. Clinicians may float within their scope to meet facility needs. Local candidates accepted within an 80-mile radius. Applicants with pending state licenses will not be accepted. Call-outs must be communicated if greater than one week. EMR experience with Meditech is preferred. COVID-19 vaccination is required with medical or religious exemptions only. Flu vaccination is also required with allowances for medical or religious exemptions and declinations. Travel experience is required. Preferred experience includes charge nurse roles and community hospital settings. Candidates should be comfortable caring for diverse patient age groups including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily census for the unit is approximately 20 patients. The unit consists of 27 beds. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services, among others. Candidates should have skills in various nursing procedures and protocols, including but not limited to medication administration, wound care, and patient assessment. Effective communication, teamwork, and time management skills are essential in this fast-paced environment. Potential for weekend coverage and flexible scheduling may be required.
