Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: - Minimum 2 years of charge experience - Patient ratio experience: 5 License: State or compact license required in-hand prior to start, can submit with pending Certifications: - ACLS - BLS - PALS - CMSRN or RN-BC Must-Have: - Travel experience required - Preferred experience with charting system Description: Registered Nurse with specialty in Medical Surgical needed for a 13-week assignment. Day shift role requires 3x12-hour shifts from 06:00 to 18:00. Candidates should possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in charge roles. Experience with a patient ratio of 5 is essential. A valid state or compact nursing license is required before starting. Candidates must have certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, and either CMSRN or RN-BC. Travel experience is a requirement for this position. Experience with the preferred charting system is also desired. This role involves working with a diverse patient demographic, including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Additional skills required include managing ports, bariatric surgery, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line blood draw, and chest tube management. Candidates should be adept in intravenous and phlebotomy practices, and proficient in interpreting arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias.
