Seven Healthcare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Med Surg for a rewarding travel assignment in Santa Fe, NM. Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse - Med Surg- Obtain and record initial patient assessments and establish priorities based on age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs
- Re-assess patients to identify progress and required interventions
- Develop and implement individualized care plans according to established nursing standards
- Make nursing decisions based on patient outcomes; modify care plans accordingly
- Participate in health education and discharge planning
- Implement and document patient interventions, ensuring they are timely and appropriate
- Evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and modify as needed
- Perform various Point of Care testing procedures
- Utilize effective communication strategies and delegate tasks efficiently
- Coordinate team assignments based on patient and unit needs
- Promote a positive work environment and support team growth
- Exhibit behaviors that uphold hospital credibility and value patient rights
Requirements of the Registered Nurse - Med Surg- Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing
- Current New Mexico RN license or Compact state license
- BLS Certification from AHA required
- Current knowledge and skills appropriate to patient population
- Effective communication with appropriate developmental competence
