Location: Nashville, Tennessee

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 36-bed medical-surgical unit. Patient ratio 1:4 to 1:5. Four weekend shifts required per four-week block. Floating over core staff as needed.

Highlights:

• 12-bed tower unit specializing in general medical-surgical care with diverse patient population including wounds, tracheostomy, ostomy, drains, chest tubes, strokes, and seizures
• Post-operative care experience including amputations, oral surgeries, and wound vacs
• Peritoneal dialysis cyclers, Alaris IV pumps, Welch Allyn vital sign carts, and standard medical equipment
• Meditech electronic medical record system
• Supportive unit staffing with secretary coverage daily and PRN technicians
• Strong focus on patient experience through bedside shift reports, regular safety checks, and responsive communication

Requirements:

• Current RN license in Tennessee (or ability to obtain)
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Proficiency in basic patient assessments and general care
• Experience managing drains, chest tubes, wound care, tracheostomy, and ostomy care
• Familiarity with PCA pumps, dialysis, and Heparin drip administration
• Adherence to HAI prevention protocols, fall prevention, and medication scanning policies
