  • 36-bed medical-surgical unit specializing in general care including wound management, tracheostomy, ostomy, drains, chest tubes, stroke, and seizure patients
  • Post-operative patient population including amputations, ostomy placements, oral surgeries, and wound vac management
  • Experience with dialysis (PD Cyclers), PCA pumps, and Heparin drip administration
  • Documentation via Meditech EMR; unit equipped with Alaris IV Pumps, Welch Allyn vital signs carts, and standard medical-surgical equipment
  • Strong unit support including daily secretary coverage, PRN techs, experienced charge nurses, and engaged leadership
  • Focus on patient experience through bedside shift report, hourly safety checks, and responsive communication
Requirements:
  • Active Registered Nurse license in Tennessee (or multi-state compact license)
  • Current BLS certification required
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification required
  • Experience with basic patient assessments, wound care, tracheostomy management, ostomy care, chest tubes, and drains
  • Knowledge of HAI prevention protocols including CVC and Foley monitoring
  • Commitment to 100% medication scanning compliance and fall prevention standards
