TravelNurseSource is working with Revolution Healthcare Services to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Wilmington, North Carolina, 28401!

Start Date: October 2026

Location: Coastal North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15), 36 or 48 hours per week. Every other weekend required. Holiday availability required. Contract lengths of 13-26 weeks accepted.

Highlights:

  • Adult and geriatric medical/surgical patient population with approximately 43 daily census
  • 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio with charge role preferred for night shift nurses
  • Epic EMR system with Pyxis medication management
  • General med/surg acuity including heparin drips, wound vac management, and high flow oxygen
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
  • 24-hour orientation with experienced unit staff

Requirements:

  • Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license)
  • Minimum 2 years of medical/surgical nursing experience
  • BLS certification required; CPI preferred
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Must pass EKG interpretation testing prior to start date
  • Competency with telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV management, and wound care
  • Willingness to participate in inclement weather team assignments
  • First-time travelers accepted; charge nurse experience strongly preferred
  • Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)

Position Details:

  • Float to similar units and alternate care locations as needed
  • Call requirement applies if placed on call for prescheduled shifts
  • Required attendance at monthly unit team meetings
  • Assignment to storm/hurricane response teams as part of disaster preparedness
  • Procedures include BiPAP support with respiratory assistance, heparin protocols, wound vac dressing changes, and peripheral line management
  • Navy scrubs required (not provided)
  • Up to 7 days pre-approved time off (no holidays); must work 2 of 3 major holidays
