**Job Description:**
- **Unit Specifics:**
- **Number of Beds:** 36
- **Patient Ratios:** 1:4 / 1:5
- **Unit Staffing:** Secretary every day, PRN techs available
- **Equipment:** PD Cyclers, Welch Allyn VS Carts, Hoyer Lift, Broda Chairs, Alaris IV Pumps
- **Documentation System:** Meditech
- **Scheduling:** 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week block
- **Floating Policy:** Will float over core staff
- **Patient Experience:** Emphasis on bedside shift report, safety checks every 1-2 hours, focus on communication and responsiveness
- **Qualifications:**
- Must possess BLS, NIHSS certifications
- Ability to perform basic patient assessments and maintenance for:
- Wounds
- Tracheostomy
- Ostomy
- Drains
- Chest Tubes
- Strokes
- Seizures
- Experience with dialysis or PCA pumps is a plus; only Heparin drip is administered
- Familiarity with post-op procedures such as amputations, ostomy, drains, chest tubes, oral surgeries, and wound vacs
- **Dress Code:**
- Scrubs in navy, blue, white, black, gray, or ceil blue
- **Unit Guidelines/Policies:**
- HAI prevention with CVC and Foley monitoring
- Fall prevention strategies
- 100% Medication Scanning, including controlled substances
- Adherence to attendance policy
