**Job Description:**
- **Shift:** 7:00PM - 7:00AM
- **Unit Name:** 12 Tower
- **Location:** 2300 Patterson Street
**Unit Specifics:**
- **Number of Beds:** 36
- **Patient Ratios:** 1:4 / 1:5
- **Staffing:** Secretary every day, PRN techs
- **Equipment:** PD Cyclers, Welch Allyn VS Carts, Hoyer Lift, Broda Chairs, Alaris IV Pumps
- **Documentation System:** Meditech
- **Scheduling:** 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week block
- **Floating Policy:** May float over core staff
- **Patient Experience Requirements:**
- Bedside shift report
- Safety checks q1-2h
- Focus on communication and responsiveness
- **Must Have Certifications:** BLS, NIHSS
**Requested Skill Set:**
- Basic patient assessments
- General care for:
- Wounds
- Tracheostomy
- Ostomy
- Drains
- Chest Tubes
- Strokes
- Seizures
- Patient population may require dialysis or PCA pumps
- Heparin drip management
**Post-Op Procedures on Unit:**
- Amputations
- Ostomy care
- Drain management
- Chest tube care
- Oral surgeries
- Wound vacs
**Dress Code:**
- Scrubs in Navy, Blue, White, Black, Gray, or Ceil Blue
**Unit Guidelines/Policies:**
- HAI prevention
- CVC and Foley monitoring with standard precautions
- Fall prevention strategies
- 100% Medication Scanning, including controlled substances
- Attendance as per policy
