The team consists of a charge nurse and 1-2 other RNs during the day shift, with a point person and 1-2 other RNs during the night shift. An LPN and a PCT are available each shift if the unit is at full capacity. The equipment used includes Welch Allens, and the documentation system is EMR - Meditech. Staff will be required to work 3 rotating 12-hour shifts and participate in every third weekend. Floating to any medical floor may be required. Familiarity with rehab documentation is preferred. The unit cares for patients post-stroke, surgical patients (neuro or ortho), and medical patients requiring increased therapy. Awards and recognitions include the Unit of Distinction Award for 2021.
