- Experience with high respiratory patient needs such as Hiflow, CPAP, BIPAP
- Familiarity with Epic and Pyxis systems
Description:
The unit specializes in infectious diseases, specifically for patients requiring high respiratory support.
It is equipped with cameras, baby monitors, dinemaps, and computers in every room.
Each patient room is private and can be converted to negative pressure when necessary.
The unit caters to patients with COVID-19, as well as blood transfusions, wound vacs, and specialty beds.
The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:6 with a daily census of approximately 23 patients.
Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, and pharmacy.
Travel nurses may float within the facility as needed, adhering to their scope of practice.
All team members are expected to work major holidays if they occur during the assignment period.
Compliance with onboarding required to ensure a timely start.
All requests for time off must be finalized at the time of submission.
