The unit has 32 beds with 10 overflow beds. Patient ratios are 1:5 to 1:6. Staffing includes 2-3 patient care technicians and a charge nurse who does not take patients. Two years of experience in the specialty is required. Documentation system used is Meditech. Candidates must have experience with the following: working in a large healthcare system and Meditech. Floating may be required to care for Med Surg holds or to an inpatient acute rehab unit. RN dress code includes royal blue scrubs. Nail policy requires clean and healthy nails with no artificial enhancements. Hair must be neat and clean without extreme styles or colors. Beards and mustaches should be clean and neatly trimmed. Tattoos should be covered whenever possible. Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited. Candidates must align with the organization’s mission and vision and adhere to excellence standards.
