Travel Nurse RN - Medical Intensive Care Unit - $2,535 per week in Philadelphia, PA

You'll utilize advanced critical care skills including ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, CRRT/CVVHD, vasoactive drip titration, and specialized interventions in a supportive, interdisciplinary environment. Complex case mix including sepsis, respiratory failure, multiorgan dysfunction, ARDS, renal and liver failure, GI bleeds, oncology patients, and post-cardiac arrest care.

Job Opportunity – Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Registered Nurse – Pennsylvania

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Schedule: Day shift 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM with approximately 12 rotating night shifts (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM) per 13-week contract. Every other weekend (Friday/Saturday). No call required. One winter holiday (eve and day) required. 2:1 patient ratio.

Highlights:

• 13-week assignment in a Level I Trauma Center Medical Intensive Care Unit with a 16-patient daily census
• Complex case mix including sepsis, respiratory failure, multiorgan dysfunction, ARDS, renal and liver failure, GI bleeds, oncology patients, and post-cardiac arrest care
• Advanced procedures including bedside trachs and PEGs, CVC placement, bedside EGD, bronchoscopy, and mass transfusion protocols
• Specialized equipment experience with CVVHD, Blakemore tubes, Swan Ganz catheters, and Level 1 rapid infusers
• EPIC charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Floating to ICU, intermediate, and telemetry units as needed; 36 hours of orientation provided

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Active Pennsylvania RN license or compact license at time of submission
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent MICU experience required; Trauma Level I experience required
• Experience with 2:1 patient ratios and EPIC charting system required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
• First-time travelers are welcome
• Pennsylvania state fingerprinting and childline clearance required
