The position involves caring for critically ill patients with various medical conditions. Estimated patient ratios are 1:1-2. The candidate must be skilled in the management of patients with multisystem organ failure, respiratory failure, COVID, sepsis, post-cardiac arrest, diabetic ketoacidosis, liver failure, and renal failure. Additional specialized procedures in this unit include continuous glucose monitoring for hyperglycemia and the use of externalized IV pumps for COVID+ patients. Knowledge of specialized equipment such as NxStage CRRT, Alaris IV Pump, GE Cardiac Monitor, and GE Ventilator is essential. The role requires the ability to manage ventilated patients and interpret dysrhythmias effectively. Candidates should have experience in the care of patients requiring continuous IV sedation. Travel nursing experience is preferred. Proficiency in EPIC documentation is important for this role.
