Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Telemetry in Winchester, VA

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights, 3x12s (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite | Every other weekend and holiday rotation required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a float pool capacity, floating across Telemetry, Med Surg, and Cardiac units as needed
• Monitor and assess patients in an acute care setting with an average patient ratio of 1:7
• Utilize EPIC EMR (required) for documentation and patient management
• Adhere to all unit protocols, dress code (navy blue scrubs), and facility policies
• Participate in weekend rotation (every other weekend) and holiday coverage as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN State License or Compact License
• ACLS certification (AHA only) required
• BLS certification (AHA only) required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Telemetry / Med Surg experience with Cardiac experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required; no block scheduling can be accommodated
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2+ years of Med Surg Telemetry experience in a high-acuity or float pool environment
• Experience in a Level II Trauma Center or large acute care facility (400+ beds)
• Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly across multiple units and patient populations
