Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Float Pool)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | 3 × 12-hour shifts | Expected 36 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on Medical Surgical and Telemetry units as part of a float pool assignment
- Float to any Med Surg/Telemetry unit or ER Tele Holding area (limited to Med Surg/Tele patients)
- Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility standards
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience
- Ability and willingness to float to multiple Med Surg/Telemetry units as assigned
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a float pool or multi-unit setting
- Experience with ER Tele Holding or observation-level telemetry patients
- Strong adaptability and ability to quickly acclimate to varying unit environments
