Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Float Pool)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 16-Week Assignment | Days (0700–1930) | 3 x 12-hour shifts | Expected 36 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care as part of a float pool, rotating across Med Surg/Telemetry units as needed
- Float to any Med Surg/Telemetry unit or ER Telemetry Holding area (Med Surg/Tele patients only)
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data for assigned patients
- Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in accordance with facility policies and clinical standards
- Adapt quickly to varying unit environments and patient populations within the float pool assignment
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience
- Willingness and ability to float to multiple Med Surg/Telemetry units throughout the assignment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior float pool or multi-unit experience
- Strong telemetry monitoring and interpretation skills
- Experience in an ER Telemetry Holding environment
