Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Contract | Rotating Shift | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process — assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation — to provide individualized patient care
• Collaborate with inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Demonstrate competency within the full scope of nursing expertise, applying age- and population-specific standards appropriate to the assigned clinical setting
• Care for patients across all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up along the continuum of care
• Perform patient assessment, patient education, triage, care planning, coordination, and various nursing interventions
• Practice within the scope and standards outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules for the state of licensure and practice

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Must be able to badge in and out at the facility for every shift
• Navy Blue scrubs required
• Must live within 80 miles of the facility to be eligible for this local placement

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry nursing setting
• Familiarity with inter-professional care team collaboration and care coordination
