Key Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process — assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation — to provide individualized patient care
- Collaborate with inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Demonstrate competency within the full scope of nursing expertise, applying age- and population-specific standards in the assigned clinical setting
- Care for patients across all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up along the continuum of care
- Perform patient assessment, patient education, triage, care planning, coordination, and various nursing interventions
- Practice within the scope and standards outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules for the state of licensure and practice
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Must adhere to facility badge in/out policy for all shifts
- Navy Blue scrubs required
- Must live within 80 miles of the facility to be eligible for local placement consideration
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry nursing setting
- Familiarity with inter-professional care team collaboration and care coordination
- Experience providing patient education and triage in an acute care environment
