Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process — assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation — to provide individualized patient care
• Collaborate with inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Demonstrate competency within the full scope of nursing expertise, applying age- and population-specific standards appropriate to the assigned clinical setting
• Care for patients across all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up along the continuum of care
• Perform patient assessment, patient education, triage, care planning and coordination, and various nursing interventions
• Practice within the scope and standards outlined in the Nurse Practice Act, Administrative Rules, and the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Must wear Navy Blue scrubs as required by the facility
• Must badge in and out at the facility for all shifts
• Must reside within 80 miles of the facility to be eligible for local placement consideration

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry nursing setting
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Experience working in a fast-paced acute care environment
