Key Responsibilities- Provide optimal patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and their families.
- Diagnose and treat human responses to health problems, demonstrating cognitive and psychosocial competency specific to the patient population served.
- Coordinate care across multidisciplinary teams and other healthcare professionals as needed.
- Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythm strips, identifying and measuring cardiac rhythms accurately.
- Float to other units or departments up to competency level based on organizational needs.
- Maintain intensive and continuous mental effort to ensure safe, high-quality patient care and sound clinical decision-making.
Required Qualifications- Active Nevada Registered Nurse (RN) license required prior to start date.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Must successfully pass a telemetry competency exam, including identification and measurement of telemetry rhythm strips.
- Minimum of 2 years of Med Surg/Telemetry nursing experience required.
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience working in a high-acuity or trauma-level hospital setting.
- Familiarity with caring for complex patient populations including oncology, cardiac, and surgical patients.
