Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Nights)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Travel | Full-Time | Onsite | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts | 36 hours per week guaranteed

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide optimal patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and their families.
  • Diagnose and treat human responses to health problems, demonstrating cognitive and psychosocial competency specific to the patient population served.
  • Coordinate care across multidisciplinary teams and other healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythm strips, identifying and measuring cardiac rhythms accurately.
  • Float to other units or departments up to competency level based on organizational needs.
  • Maintain intensive and continuous mental effort to ensure safe, high-quality patient care and sound clinical decision-making.
Required Qualifications
  • Active Nevada Registered Nurse (RN) license required prior to start date.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
  • Must successfully pass a telemetry competency exam, including identification and measurement of telemetry rhythm strips.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Med Surg/Telemetry nursing experience required.
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience working in a high-acuity or trauma-level hospital setting.
  • Familiarity with caring for complex patient populations including oncology, cardiac, and surgical patients.
