TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Reno, Nevada, 89502!
Provide optimal patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and their families.
Diagnose and treat human responses to health problems while demonstrating cognitive and psychosocial competency specific to the patient population served.
Coordinate care across interdisciplinary teams and other healthcare professionals as needed.
Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and respond appropriately to cardiac changes.
Float to other units or departments up to competency level based on organizational needs.
Maintain intensive, continuous mental effort to ensure safe patient care and sound clinical judgment.
Required Qualifications
Active Nevada Registered Nurse (RN) license required prior to start date.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
Must successfully pass a telemetry competency exam, including identification and measurement of telemetry rhythm strips.
Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg or Telemetry nursing experience required.
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience working in a high-volume or trauma-level acute care environment.
Familiarity with caring for complex cardiac or medical-surgical patient populations.
