    Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

    Location

    Reno, NV | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | 3x12, Nights | Full-Time

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide comprehensive nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including their families and caregivers, utilizing the full nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
    • Diagnose and treat human responses to health problems while demonstrating cognitive and psychosocial competencies specific to the patient population served
    • Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythm strips; must pass a telemetry competency exam prior to assignment
    • Coordinate care across interdisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with internal and external contacts, exercising sound clinical judgment and decision-making
    • Float to other units up to competency level based on organizational needs; expected to pick up one additional shift per schedule period
    • Maintain ongoing professional growth and apply a scientific knowledge base to deliver safe, high-quality patient care
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Nevada RN license required prior to start date
    • BLS certification required
    • ACLS certification required
    • Minimum 2+ years of Med Surg/Telemetry experience
    • Prior travel nursing experience of at least one completed 13-week assignment required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience working in a high-volume acute care or trauma-level facility
    • Familiarity with telemetry monitoring systems and rhythm interpretation beyond basic competency
    • Demonstrated ability to adapt to varying schedules including weekends, holidays, and call shifts
