Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct bedside nursing care for Medical Surgical / Telemetry patients at a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6
- Monitor and interpret telemetry, including dysrhythmia identification, using bedside monitors with telemetry, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry capabilities
- Float within scope of practice to other units as needed to meet facility staffing requirements
- Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary team in a newly developed unit environment
- Work every other weekend as a non-negotiable scheduling requirement
- Be prepared to participate in emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November)
Required Qualifications
- Active South Carolina RN license or Compact RN license — must be in hand prior to start date
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing
- Demonstrated experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health records charting system
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience in a community hospital setting
- First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply
