Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 Years License: South Carolina RN License or Compact License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Experience in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry, Ability to interpret dysrhythmias, Community hospital experience preferred Description: Position available for a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry. This is a night shift position with a schedule of three 12-hour shifts. The nurse will be responsible for providing care to patients with medical issues and those receiving telemetry services. The nurse-patient ratio will be 1:6. Every other weekend is required and is non-negotiable. The unit is newly built, with current staffing at two RNs and one tech per shift. Charge duties are split between stepdown and the medical-surgical unit. There will be no off-shift management scheduled, but leadership is available by phone during off-shift hours. A 24/7 house supervisor will be present. The unit is capable of bedside monitoring with telemetry functions. Required experience includes working with telemetry and interpreting dysrhythmias. Local candidates may be accepted at a lower rate than non-local candidates. During hurricane season, all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams. This is important to consider when accepting assignments. Completion of compliance requirements is required prior to starting. All due dates for necessary documentation and lab work must be adhered to. RTO must be communicated at the time of submission for consideration. Candidates must have the required licensure prior to starting work. Approval for any requested time off will depend on facility needs.
