    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry Float

    Location

    Olympia, WA | Short Term Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

    Key Responsibilities
    • Float across units to meet census and staffing needs, supporting a diverse patient population including telemetry, medical-surgical, and ER-boarded patients
    • Deliver direct patient care with nurse-to-patient ratios ranging from 1:4 to 1:6 depending on unit acuity
    • Fulfill charge nurse duties on designated smaller units, including managing staffing needs, bed flow, and general unit coordination
    • Document patient care and clinical assessments using EPIC electronic health records
    • Collaborate with LPNs, CNAs, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity and quality of care
    • May be expected to float to nearby sister facilities as needed to support staffing requirements
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
    • Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in a relevant clinical setting
    • Charge nurse experience is required
    • US-based clinical experience required; Canadian experience alone does not qualify
    • Must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
    • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a standard traveler (locals are accepted under a separate rate structure)
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience in a cardiac step-down or progressive care unit
    • Prior float pool or multi-unit nursing experience
    • Familiarity with EPIC charting system
