    Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Nights)

    Location

    Lake Havasu City, AZ | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 3x12s | 36 Hours Guaranteed Weekly | Projected Start: September 21, 2026

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a 40-bed Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit with a 1:6 patient ratio, serving an adult and geriatric population
    • Monitor and manage patients with conditions including total joint post-op, ACS, CHF, CKD, GI bleed, alcohol withdrawal, and SIRS
    • Operate unit equipment including Baxter IV pumps, Posey bed/chair alarms, Omnicell drug dispensing cabinets, and Zoll defibrillators; document in Medhost EHR
    • Maintain ACLS certification and apply advanced cardiac life support skills as needed in a Certified Chest Pain Center environment
    • Fulfill weekend commitment of 4 shifts per 4-week schedule period; no routine on-call scheduling (flex to on-call may occur up to twice per contract)
    • Float to other units within the facility (IMC, ED) as operationally required
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience
    • Telemetry experience required; must be comfortable managing a 1:6 patient ratio
    • Current ACLS certification required
    • Minimum education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
    • Prior travel nursing experience required
    • Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience as a preceptor or in a charge nurse role
    • Familiarity with Medhost EHR
    • Experience caring for post-surgical and total joint replacement patients
    • Compassionate, positive, and adaptable personality well-suited to a fast-paced community hospital environment
