Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays as Needed
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to a primarily Medical Surgical population, including observation patients, surgical patients, and surgical observation cases
- Manage patients with respiratory conditions, diabetes (including new diabetics and those with complications), palliative, end-of-life, and hospice needs
- Monitor and care for patients requiring psychiatric observation as appropriate to the unit
- Utilize EPIC electronic health record system for documentation and care coordination
- Float to other campus locations within the health system as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license – must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- Must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during onboarding (2 attempts permitted; study materials are not provided)
- EPIC electronic health record experience required
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (no local candidates accepted); current driver's license must be included with submission to verify address
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience as a Charge RN
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation
