Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry setting across assigned shifts
- Perform and interpret ECG rhythm recognition as assessed during orientation
- Administer and document medications safely, with competency validated via safeMedicate assessment during orientation
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of hours worked using the designated time-tracking platform
- Participate in required annual hands-on competency training and pre-start modules as directed
- Obtain NIHSS certification prior to start date
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry
- Active, permanent Ohio RN license or valid Compact state license — must be in hand at time of submission; no pending licenses accepted
- Active AHA BLS certification — must be in hand at time of submission
- Active ACLS certification — must be in hand at time of submission
- Willingness to obtain NIHSS certification prior to start
- One professional reference required from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months (Charge RN references accepted; co-worker references not accepted)
- Must pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation with an acceptable score (maximum of 2 attempts permitted)
- BCI/FBI fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
- No open licensing or background case hits accepted
- Local candidates are welcome and will be considered at the same rate
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience within a single facility or location for the required specialty tenure
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and ECG rhythm interpretation
- Prior travel nursing experience within a large health system environment
