Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Contract | Days | 3x12-hour shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit during day shift hours
- Perform and interpret ECG rhythm recognition as assessed during orientation
- Administer and manage medications safely, with proficiency evaluated via safeMedicate assessment during orientation
- Maintain accurate documentation of hours worked through the designated time-tracking system
- Adhere to facility compliance standards, including annual hands-on competency requirements and pre-start modules
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license — permanent Ohio license or compact state license required and must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 1 year of permanent experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry
- Active AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required and must be in hand at time of submission
- Must be willing to obtain NIHSS certification prior to start
- One professional reference required from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months (Charge RN references accepted; co-worker references not accepted)
- Must pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation with an acceptable score (maximum of 2 attempts permitted)
- Local candidates are welcome and will be considered at the same rate
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience within a single MS/Tele location preferred, though combined experience across locations will be considered
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation in an acute care environment
- Experience working within a large health system or multi-facility network
