    Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical/Telemetry

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 13 Weeks | Days (4x12 Hours, 7:00–19:00) | 36 or 48 hours per week available | Every other weekend, every other holiday

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a 12-bed Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit with a 1:4 patient ratio
    • Manage and monitor patients with diagnoses including respiratory illnesses, renal illnesses, diabetes, sepsis, cellulitis, infections, heart failure, sickle cell, and cystic fibrosis
    • Document all patient care activities accurately using Epic EMR
    • Float within scope of practice as needed per facility float policy
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Virginia RN license (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
    • BLS certification required
    • Epic EMR experience required
    • Nursys verification required at time of submission
    • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (locals are not accepted for this unit)

    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • BSN preferred
    • Prior experience in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry setting
    • Experience managing high-acuity patients with complex diagnoses such as heart failure, sepsis, or sickle cell disease
