    TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Charleston, West Virginia, 25304!

    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (CV Med Tele)

    Location

    Charleston, WV | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift | 4x12 Hours | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Weekdays with every other weekend required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a full telemetry floor serving pulmonary, cardiac, medicine, and med/surg adult and geriatric populations across 16 monitored beds
    • Monitor patients utilizing centralized telemetry monitoring with support from a dedicated telemetry technician
    • Maintain a patient assignment ratio of 1:5, delivering safe and effective nursing care
    • Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Cerner electronic health records
    • Float within scope of practice to other units as needed
    • Adhere to unit scheduling expectations, including every other weekend and holiday rotation (no more than 1 of the 3 major holidays requested off)
    Required Qualifications
    • Active West Virginia RN license or Compact RN license required; candidates with a pending license may be submitted
    • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; first-time travelers accepted if experience requirements are met
    • Cardiac Telemetry / Telemetry experience required
    • BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
    • Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1 – March 31); medical exemption accepted with documented allergist or physician record
    • Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility; candidates between 75–100 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience caring for pulmonary and cardiovascular patient populations
    • Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records
    • Experience working in a Level IV Trauma Center or major teaching hospital environment
    • PALS certification (may be required depending on unit assignment)
