Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Cardiovascular Medical Telemetry – West Virginia
Start Date: October 15, 2026
Location: West Virginia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 Night Shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, weekdays with every other weekend required, float capability within scope
Highlights:
- Full telemetry floor with 16 monitored pulmonary/cardiac beds serving adult and geriatric populations
- Centralized monitoring with dedicated telemetry technician support
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 on a 28-bed medical-surgical cardiac unit
- Level IV Trauma Center and major teaching hospital with 838 staffed beds
- Electronic medical records via Cerner; IV team support available
- 36 hours guaranteed per week with orientation provided every other Thursday
Requirements:
- Active West Virginia or Compact RN License (pending license accepted for submission)
- Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience
- Cardiac Telemetry/Telemetry experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association
- Experience with cardiac drips including Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone
- Proficiency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and heparin protocols
- Minimum of 2 Manager or Charge Nurse references from the past 2 years
- Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility
- Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1 - March 31) unless medical exemption provided
