PAY:
Travelers Pay: 
Taxable Amount - $35.5/hr on W2
Lodging Stipend - $700 weekly
Meals Stipend - $546 weekly
Weekly Gross - $2,950 weekly including stipend for 48 hours.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position - RN-Med Surg/Tele
Location - Potsdam, NY 13676
Duration - 13 weeks contract
Day Shift - 7 am to 7:30 pm, with every other weekend

Weekly Hours - 48 hours 
Ratios: Days 1:5

EMR - EPIC

Float Required: Yes - may be floated to the corresponding sister units. West 2, West 3, and Observation unit are all sister units.

Patient Diagnoses: Cardiac, Respiratory, COVID, infectious disease, pre and post operative, endocrine, CVA
Special Procedures/Unit Details: Certified Stroke Center. Can be PCU or medsurg/tele; would prioritize candidates who are PCU trained.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with acute and chronic medical-surgical conditions.
Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions, including cardiac telemetry rhythms and vital signs.
Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and prescribed treatments safely and accurately.
Monitor patients for changes in condition and promptly communicate concerns to the healthcare team.
Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Perform wound care, dressing changes, catheter care, and other nursing procedures.
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
Maintain accurate electronic medical records and ensure compliance with hospital policies and patient safety standards.
Respond to emergencies, participate in rapid response situations, and provide high-quality patient-centered care.
Ensure infection prevention, fall prevention, and quality improvement initiatives are consistently followed.

 

REQUIREMENT:
2+ years of experience required.

New York RN license, ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required.

50 miles rule, candidate permanent address must be 50 miles from the facility.

Avg. Daily Census: 23 Visits/Day: 3 Rooms: 17 Beds: 30
