Medical-Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical-Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse to join our float pool team. This versatile role involves providing high-quality patient care across various units, including Medical-Surgical Telemetry, Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and Emergency Department (ED).

Position Overview

The ideal candidate will possess strong telemetry skills and be comfortable floating between multiple units. You will be responsible for caring for medical-surgical boarders and providing critical care as needed in various settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer patient care in multiple settings, including Medical-Surgical Telemetry, PCU, ICU, and ED.
  • Monitor and interpret telemetry readings to ensure patient safety and effective care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Perform assessments and provide timely interventions based on patient needs.
  • Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge instructions.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical-Surgical Telemetry nursing.
  • Demonstrated telemetry experience with a strong understanding of cardiac monitoring.
  • Ability to adapt to various clinical environments and patient needs.
  • Must have been separated from the previous organization for at least 6 months.

Schedule

This position requires a flexible schedule, including 12-hour rotating shifts (days/nights) and working every other weekend.
