Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemedicine Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required. License: Valid RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS Must-Have: Charting System Experience (Epic) Description: Universal Care RN needed. No Sunday shift, but rotating every other Saturday is required. Responsibilities include writing initial nursing histories and assessing patient conditions. Develop individual care plans for patients and evaluate their effectiveness. Demonstrate knowledge of care needs for all patient populations, including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Coordinate and direct patient care for a group of patients. Assign patient care activities based on patient needs and staff skill levels. Provide direct patient care and evaluate outcomes. Consult with other disciplines as required and adjust care plans as needed. Teach patients and significant others how to manage healthcare needs. Maintain accurate documentation in patient records and adhere to regulatory standards for documentation. Evaluate the effectiveness of care plans through observation and communication with patients and healthcare team members. Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients and families. Ensure equipment is clean and safe. Report observations and reactions regarding patients to physicians accurately. Assist physicians with patient exams and emergency measures. Stimulate motivation within team members and recognize their accomplishments. Participate actively in the orientation of new personnel. Deliver care in a patient-centered manner that preserves autonomy and confidentiality. Function as relief Charge Nurse as assigned. Engage in continuous quality improvement activities and professional development. Communicate clearly and tactfully with patients and families. Adhere to department policies and procedures, ensuring safety and infection control standards. Demonstrate sensitivity to patients' comfort and privacy. Explain procedures thoroughly and monitor patient comfort during treatments. Respond promptly to patient inquiries. Prioritize tasks and provide efficient service. Participate in unit committees as assigned. Perform other related duties as assigned. May be required to float to other units. Identify patients to initiate care as necessary.
