Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,470–$2,600
• Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry
• Unit: Float Pool
• Contract: 13 weeks, from December 15, 2026 through March 13, 2027
• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts, 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
• Weekend and Holiday Coverage: Every other weekend and every other holiday
• Scheduling: Self-scheduling with consideration for special requests based on unit needs
• Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours biweekly, excluding on-call hours
• Patient Ratios: Medical-surgical: 5:1 during days/evenings and 6:1 overnight; telemetry: 4:1 during days/evenings and 5:1 overnight

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Massachusetts
• At least 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience
• Telemetry nursing experience strongly preferred
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Ability to float between medical-surgical and telemetry assignments
• Strong patient assessment, clinical prioritization, communication, and patient-safety skills

Medical-Surgical/Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize changes in patient condition, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Complete nursing assessments, administer medications, perform treatments, and evaluate patient responses
• Care for patients with a range of acute and chronic medical conditions
• Float between medical-surgical and telemetry areas according to staffing and patient-care needs
• Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary care team to support effective treatment plans
• Educate patients and families regarding medications, procedures, recovery, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and promote a safe, respectful patient-care environment
