Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position is ideal for professionals looking to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic environment. The role involves the ability to float to different units and the Emergency Department as needed, ensuring comprehensive care for a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients within the Med/Surg Tele unit.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Perform ECG rhythm recognition and document findings appropriately.
• Work rotating shifts, including night and day schedules, while adhering to hospital operational needs.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines and protocols.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and provide education on health management.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent nursing experience in the specialty area.
• Current Ohio nursing license or Compact State license required.
• Certifications in AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are mandatory.
• Must be available to work at least every other holiday.
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation is required.

Work Schedule

• Rotating shifts: 7pm-7:30am or 7am-7:30pm.
• Scheduling flexibility may be required to meet operational demands.
