Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality patient care while working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver care to patients in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit, ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and ECG rhythm, and respond to any changes in condition.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families to provide education and support.
  • Participate in patient assessments and evaluations and provide necessary interventions.
  • Float to additional units as needed to care for similar patient populations, including J1-2, J33, and ED.

Shift Details

This position requires the ability to work rotating Day and Night shifts. Specific shift times include:

  • Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
  • Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Shifts may be variable to meet the operational needs of the unit.

Qualifications

  • Aminimum of 12 months of permanent experience in the Med/Surg Tele nursing specialty.
  • Active, unrestricted Ohio RN license or a compact state license.
  • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS from an approved provider.
  • Must work at least every other holiday.

Orientation and Training

During the orientation period, candidates will complete ECG rhythm recognition testing and SafeMedicate training, with the requirement of achieving acceptable scores on both assessments.
