Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse to join our team. This position involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in the telemetry unit, with the potential to float to other units as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to assigned patients.
  • Monitor and interpret patient vital signs and cardiac rhythms.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records.
  • Participate in patient education and discharge planning.

Shift Details

The position requires rotating shifts, with potential shifts including:

  • Night: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
  • Day: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Please note that shifts may be adjusted to meet the operational needs of the healthcare facility.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a valid and active Ohio nursing license or a compact state license.
  • A minimum of 12 months of permanent nursing experience in the specialty is required.
  • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS from AHA or American Red Cross.
  • Must complete ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate during orientation, achieving acceptable scores.
  • Availability to work at least every other holiday is required.
