Description:
Experience in MS/Tele Float preferred.
Charge experience and cardiac step-down experience are ideal, but not required.
Patients can include anything from ER boarded patients to tele, med-surg, etc.
The team floats to fill the needs within the institution.
The nurse-to-patient ratio varies from 1:4 to 1:6 depending on unit acuity.
Charge responsibilities apply on two small units in the facility.
On those small units, the sole registered nurse functions as the Charge Nurse.
This role includes core charge duties such as managing staffing needs, bed flow, and general coordination.
Experience in the US is required; Canadian experience alone does not qualify.
The patient population may vary widely.
Special procedures and unit details will vary by unit.
Nurses may float between nearby facilities as needed.
Refusal to float may result in termination of assignment.
Candidates must request specific scheduling needs upfront during application.
Inflexibility beyond the contracted schedule may lead to termination of contract.
References required covering experience within the last three years.
