Description:
PCU/Stepdown Float RN 3x12.
Patient population can include a variety of cases ranging from ER boarded patients to telemetry and med surg.
The role involves floating to meet the needs of the institution.
Nurse-to-patient ratio varies from 1:4 to 1:6, depending on unit acuity.
Charge responsibilities may apply in smaller units.
On those units, the sole RN functions as the Charge Nurse and must manage staffing needs, bed flow, and general coordination.
Charge nurse experience is a requirement.
Experience in the US healthcare system is necessary for this position.
Daily responsibilities may include managing various patient conditions and treatments.
The role may involve working with interdisciplinary support teams.
