Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment, with potential to float to other units as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver nursing care to patients on the medical-surgical and telemetry units.
  • Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms to ensure patient safety.
  • Collaboration with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Document patient assessments and care delivered accurately in electronic health records.
  • Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
  • Adhere to facility policies and procedures, including safety and quality standards.

Schedule

This position requires a rotating schedule that includes both day and night shifts (7pm-7:30am and 7am-7:30pm). Travelers must work at least every other holiday. Shifts may be variable to meet operational needs, although the facility aims to honor preferred schedules whenever possible.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in the Medical/Surgical Telemetry specialty.
  • Possession of a valid Ohio nursing license or compact state license.
  • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS from AHA or American Red Cross.
  • Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation.
