Registered Nurse (RN) - MS/Tele

Position Overview

This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing within a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) unit. The role involves providing high-quality patient care during night shifts, with a commitment to clinical excellence and compassionate care for patients with complex medical needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in a LTAC setting.
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions, providing timely interventions as needed.
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Educate patients and families on health management and disease prevention.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing.
  • Experience in a Long-Term Acute Care setting is preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in neurology is required.
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications are mandatory.

Work Schedule

This position offers a flexible schedule with options for 36 or 48 hours per week, specifically during night shifts (4x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30). The workforce supports weekend coverage through a rotating on-call system among 6 to 8 staff members, with weekday shifts primarily focused from Monday to Friday.

Contract Length

This position offers a contract duration of 13 to 26 weeks, allowing flexibility for both staff and patient needs.
