Job Opportunity – Medical Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse – Wisconsin

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Schedule: Evening/Night shifts, 12-hour shifts (1900 - 0730). Weekend and holiday rotations based on operational need. Patient ratio of 5:1 on weekends.

- Epic EMR system required; 20 hours of orientation provided
- Strong interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams

Requirements:
- Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license required
- BLS certification required (American Heart Association only)
- Minimum of two years acute care experience within the last three years
- Epic charting system experience required
- Must successfully pass telemetry competency exam prior to start (strict passing criteria: 100% identification of lethal rhythms, 80% overall passing score)
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Floating to other units as needed
Clinical Skills:
- Telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Management of complex medical and surgical patients including COPD, heart failure, diabetes, bariatric surgery, and orthopedic trauma
- IV therapy including heparin and insulin drips, PCA management
- Central line and PICC line management
- Wound care including wound VAC therapy
- Blood product administration and phlebotomy
- Pre/post neurosurgery and total joint replacement care
- Colostomy/ileostomy and feeding tube management
