Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position involves working with a diverse patient population, including those from the Department of Corrections and adult medical/surgical patients under the Family Medicine service.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care in accordance with established protocols.
• Assist in the care of geriatric patients with a variety of medical conditions and diagnoses.
• Manage and monitor telemetry patients and provide necessary interventions.
• Work closely with Department of Corrections officers when providing care to incarcerated patients, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.

Scheduling Information

Registered Nurses will work 12-hour shifts, with a rotation between day and night schedules. Staff will not be scheduled to flip between day and night shifts more than twice within a six-week period, unless an exception is requested. For day shifts that involve patient care, there will be a scheduled 36-hour off period between the end of a night shift and the start of the day shift.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) required.
• Experience in starting IVs is required.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records is essential.
• Successful completion of a telemetry test prior to starting work is mandatory.
