License: Active RN license required (Compact License accepted). Certifications: BLS/BCLS required; ACLS preferred. Must-Have: Proficiency in required drips such as heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, dobutamine, dopamine, nitro. Description: This is a Medical Surgical/Telemetry RN position. The shift is a 12-hour night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM. You will be responsible for caring for a patient population that includes adults and geriatrics. Patient ratios are typically 1:5, which may adjust to 1:6 or 1:7 in certain situations. The unit has a variety of patient diagnoses, including acute myocardial infarction, unstable angina, congestive heart failure, unstable arrhythmias, and other cardiac disorders. Experience with post-cardiac catheterization and post-angiogram procedures is required. Candidates should be comfortable floating within the scope of their practice. Weekend availability is required, with rotation every other weekend. Candidates must have experience interpreting dysrhythmias and managing them effectively. The ideal candidate will bring a positive attitude and a commitment to teamwork. References from two managers or charge nurses within the past two years are required. This role does not permit blocking of schedules and requires flexibility in working hours. All candidates must adhere to the facility's vaccination requirements.
