Schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 Night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, weekdays with every other weekend required
Highlights:
- 838-bed Level IV Trauma Center and major teaching hospital affiliated with the Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems
- Full telemetry unit with 16 monitored pulmonary/cardiac beds serving adult and geriatric populations
- Centralized monitoring with dedicated telemetry technician support and 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratios
- Cerner charting system with team nursing model and IV team support
- 36 hours guaranteed weekly with float responsibilities to similar telemetry units as needed
- Orientation held every other Thursday with 16 hours of dedicated onboarding
Requirements:
- Active West Virginia or Compact RN License (pending license accepted for submission)
- Minimum 2 years of cardiac telemetry experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association
- Experience with cardiac drips including Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone
- Proficiency in interpretation and management of cardiac dysrhythmias
- Experience with 1:5 patient ratios preferred
- Two professional references from managers or charge nurses within the past 2 years
- Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility
- Flu vaccination required during flu season (October 1 - March 31) unless medical exemption provided
