Description:
The position is for a Medical Surgical / Telemetry Registered Nurse on night shifts.
The shift will be from 19:00 to 07:00.
Weeks include every other weekend.
Ideal candidates should have experience managing cardiac patients.
The unit will typically have a patient ratio of 1:5, with occasional adjustments to 1:6 or 1:7 based on staffing needs.
Candidates should have proficiency in interpreting and managing dysrhythmias.
Experience with procedures such as cardioversion, TEE, thoracentesis, bone marrow biopsy, chest tube insertion, and central line insertion is preferred but not required.
Post cardiac catheterization and angiogram experience is required.
Candidates must be willing to float to different units as needed.
A working knowledge of required medications and drips is essential.
This role requires a positive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Required certifications must be through the American Heart Association.
References from previous supervisors within the past 2 years are required.
Candidates with a permanent address outside a 100-mile radius may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
